Jennifer L. Penner, Ph.D.

Jennifer L. Penner, Ph.D. received her doctorate from Texas A&M University. She completed a pediatric psychology internship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

 

Prior to joining SMFCC, she was the Director of Child Advocacy Resource and Education in Greeley, Colorado and was a staff therapist at

North Range Behavioral Health in Weld County. She has served as Director for an Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Clinic, two Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Follow-Up Clinics, and as a consultant for a Pediatric Feeding and Growth Clinic. Dr. Penner has extensive research experience in early childhood behavioral compliance, child development, chronic illness, Down Syndrome, and low-birthweight infants.  Additionally she has published work in the area of emotional development of preschoolers. Dr. Penner is a workshop presenter on topics relating to child development, behavior management and parenting issues and has been an “In the Family” columnist for the Greeley Tribune.

 

Dr. Penner’s areas of expertise include child behavioral disorders, ADHD, emotional and adjustment disorders, parenting stress, school-related disorders, and developmental disabilities. Special interests include early childhood development and psychological assessment.
